As we all know, iTunes is a piece of crap software that does nothing but slow down your computer and crash every so often. It also unfortunately the only Apple-supported application for iPod updating.
Since iOS 4.0 came out today, I decided to upgrade my iPod to the new software. Don't comment on the fact that I'm overriding my last post criticizing iOS 4.0; it's Summer, I'm bored sitting home, and so that's why I'm upgrading my iPod.
Okay, first slap from the face from iTunes: I have to backup my iPod completely. It takes two hours:
At 7:37PM, it finally decides to start upgrading my iPod. But is it upgrading or restoring?
By now it should be done, but NOOO it has to also restore all my other crap onto there:
AGHHH It's still restoring after three hours!!
Great, it's 9PM and my iPod JUST finished upgrading. It's slow as hell too, thanks Apple for screwing over my iPod! Now it won't even open up the settings app without crashing! Good thing I can walk over to the Apple store from my home and let one of them "Geniuses" fix it for me.
I think this picture totally summarizes me after this night:
